Year 6 Children's Parliment-Winners of the Research Award

Over the past few weeks, Year 6 have been working hard on a project for the Hammersmith and Fulham Children’s Parliament event. Our class topic was about the local Grand Union Canal and neighbouring Kensal Green and St Mary’s cemeteries.  In preparation, we embarked on a discovery trail along the canal and through the cemeteries. We then spent sessions pulling everything together for the final event.

Yesterday, 8 children from Year 6 went to the town hall and presented our findings to other schools from the local area. We were then asked questions and also had to ask questions about the presentations from the other schools.

We came second in the competition and also won the research award for our hard work and attention to detail.
