Ofsted and Performance Data
Ofsted inspected Ark Bentworth Primary Academy on 16th January 2019 in a one day short inspection. In the new framework, schools that have been previously judged good have a short one day inspection called a ‘Section 8 inspection’. The purpose of the short inspection is to determine whether the school continues to provide a good standard of education and whether safeguarding is effective.
I am very pleased to say that Ark Bentworth does indeed continue to be a ‘Good’ School and I would like to draw your eye to the main paragraph on the first page…
“This school continues to be good.
The leadership team has maintained the good quality of education in the school since the previous inspection. Based on the evidence gathered during this short inspection, I am of the opinion that the school has demonstrated strong practice and marked improvement in specific areas. This may indicate that the school has improved significantly overall. Therefore, I am recommending that the school’s next inspection be a section 5 inspection.”
The school remains good and there is sufficient evidence of improved performance to suggest that the school may be judged outstanding if it received a section 5 inspection now.
This is a fantastic evaluation for our school and it is testament to the hard work and effort that all the staff, the pupils and you the community continue to give.
