Ofsted and Performance Data
Ofsted inspected Ark Bentworth Primary Academy on 16th January 2019 in a one day short inspection. Schools that have been previously judged good have a short one day inspection called a ‘Section 8 inspection’. The purpose of the short inspection is to determine whether the school continues to provide a good standard of education and whether safeguarding is effective.
Ark Bentworth does indeed continue to be a ‘Good’ School and the report states:
“This school continues to be good.
The leadership team has maintained the good quality of education in the school since the previous inspection. Based on the evidence gathered during this short inspection, I am of the opinion that the school has demonstrated strong practice and marked improvement in specific areas. This may indicate that the school has improved significantly overall. Therefore, I am recommending that the school’s next inspection be a section 5 inspection.”

Attendance Data 2019-20
From September 2019 to February 2020, prior to the pandemic, attendance was as follows:
- Y1 – Y6: 96.68%
- Persistent absence: 9.09%
On 20th March 2020, at the point of the national school closure due to COVID-19, attendance was as follows:
- Y1 – Y6: 95.32%
- Persistent absence: 12.69%
