We recognise that some pupils may not have suitable online access at home. Below summarises how we support those pupils to access remote education.

Printed Packs

All pupils will be provided with a daily pack in Years 1 to 6 and a weekly pack in Nursery and Reception. The pack can be viewed on a screen or printed at home. Alternatively, these packs can be collected from school or posted to families without internet access. Additonally, pupils without internet access can return their work to school to have it passed onto their teachers for marking and feedback.

Devices

Ark Bentworth is committed to providing devices to pupils in any year group who are required to learn from home as a result of school or bubble closure. If your child does not have a suitable device to complete their remote learning, please contact the school office. Prior to borrowing a device, you will be asked to sign the Device Loan Agreement and read the Safeguarding Information for Parents document, copies of both can be found below:

Internet Connection

Please contact the school office if you have any issues with your internet connection (e.g. reaching download limits, download speeds, connection dropping out). The school will endeavour to help through the many schemes available. Currently the school is offering free 30g SIM cards to families without connection or with connection issues. We are working with the local authority to offer free fibre broadband upgrades to families on the nearby housing estates. We hope to offer dongles in the future and are awaiting stock availability.
