How to set up remote learning
It is important that the conditions are suitable for children to be able to learn at home. If your child is not in school due to COVID-19, we will provide you with the tools and resources to ensure they have access to the full curriculum offer at home.
In the event of a school closure, children will be provided with printed learning packs and online resources. Whilst these resources are being prepared, parents and children should refer to the home learning resources found in our curriculum newsletter and knowledge organisers here.
Top Tips for Remote Learning
• Stick to a familiar routine as much as possible with your child, including set wake up and bedtimes.
• Design your day in a way which best suits your family/work commitments/lifestyle.
• You may find it helpful to create an informal timetable or ‘to-do’ list (see example timetables below).
• Ensure that your child takes regular breaks from learning activities and screen time.
Remember - Short bursts of learning with regular breaks is much better than a long, unproductive learning session.
